Andrew Garfield est un acteur britanno-américain, né le 20 août 1983 à Los Angeles (Californie). Il remporte le British Academy Television Award du meilleur acteur pour son rôle dans le film anglais Boy A (2007) avant d'être révélé au public international par le premier rôle masculin du drame indépendant Never Let Me Go et un second rôle dans l'acclamé biopic The Social Network. En 2012, il succède à Tobey Maguire dans le rôle de Spider-Man. Cependant, la production d'une trilogie est interrompue par le studio en 2015, au bout de deux longs-métrages réalisés par Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man et The Amazing Spider-Man : Le Destin d'un héros en 2014), conduisant au licenciement de l'acteur1. Celui-ci se concentre dès l'année suivante sur des projets dramatiques et réalistes.
